Midna 1

So this is the first Midna fan art I've done.

I was trying to portray that overly smug, dangerously confident feeling Midna exuded at the beginning of the game. Her strong self-faith that kept getting challenged by her reality just made me feel bad for her.
I haven't beaten the game yet, though, so maybe I'm way off.

My original sketch had more expression than the final digital piece but this has improved in other ways (proportion most notable).


I used this piece to keep my sanity the last couple of weeks between crazy amounts of homework and work and just... other stressful gunk.

The actual amount of time dedicated to it isn't huge but I was staring at it for a very. long. time.

I used like 10 different screeshots on the Internet for reference. That is undoubtedly the most complicated character I've ever tried to draw. I left some details out, unfortunately.


It's open to critique but I'm not sure that I'll revise it in the future.

Overall, I'm pleased with the colors and contrast.
